Wintermere: Ember Blast — Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 6, 2026
Wintermere: Ember Blast ("Wintermere", "the game") is a puzzle game for Android made by Edin Ramovic, publishing as Ramovic Digital ("we", "us"). It was first released under the working title "Ember". This policy explains what information the game and its website, wintermeregame.com, collect and how it is used.
Information we collect
The game has no accounts, and it never asks for your name, email, contacts, photos or precise location. It uses two outside services that collect some data from your device: GameAnalytics for gameplay analytics, and Google AdMob for ads.
Gameplay analytics (GameAnalytics)
- Gameplay events: sessions, levels started, completed or failed, scores, hints used, store and ad interactions.
- A random install ID: generated by the game when it is first opened. It is not your device's advertising ID.
- Basic device information: device model, Android version, app version, and connection type.
- Approximate location (country only): worked out by GameAnalytics from your internet connection. Your IP address is not stored in our analytics.
Ads (Google AdMob)
The game offers optional rewarded ads: you can choose to watch a short ad for extra sparks or a life. To show ads, Google's Mobile Ads SDK collects and uses, as described in Google's disclosure:
- your device's Android advertising ID and an App Set ID,
- your IP address and approximate location derived from it,
- how you interact with ads and the app (for example, whether an ad was shown or completed),
- diagnostic information such as crash logs and performance data.
Google and its ad partners may use this to show ads, limit how often you see an ad, measure performance, and prevent fraud. You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of ad personalization in your Android settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads). See how Google uses data in ads.
Purchases
The game sells optional packs of in-game embers through Google Play Billing. Payment is handled entirely by Google Play. We never see or store your card or payment details; we only learn that a purchase of a given pack completed.
Your game progress and settings, such as your level, embers and sound on/off, are stored only on your device.
Website and launch email list
Our website, wintermeregame.com, lets you leave your email address to hear when the game launches. If you sign up:
- What we collect: your email address and the time you signed up. The form is run by Formspree, which stores the sign-up and forwards it to us.
- What we use it for: one email telling you the game is available. Nothing else, and we never sell or share your address.
- Why we may use it: you asked for it by submitting the form. You can withdraw that at any time.
- How long we keep it: until the launch email is sent, then we delete the list. Email us at the address below and we will delete your address sooner.
The website is hosted by Netlify and loads its fonts from Google Fonts; like any web host, they receive your IP address in order to deliver the page. The website uses no cookies, ad tracking pixels or analytics. If you reached it from an ad (for example on TikTok), that ad platform handles your click under its own privacy policy.
How we use it
We use gameplay analytics to see which levels are too hard or too easy, how long sessions last, whether players come back, and how ads and purchases perform, so we can improve the game. Ads are shown to fund the game. We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
Analytics data is processed by GameAnalytics as our service provider, on our behalf. Ad data is collected by Google (AdMob) and its advertising partners. Purchases are processed by Google Play. Launch-list sign-ups are stored by Formspree on our behalf. We do not share data with anyone else, except where required by law.
Security and retention
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Analytics data is kept only as long as it is useful for improving the game. Google handles ad data under its own retention practices.
Your choices
- Watching an ad is always optional; the game is fully playable without it.
- You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads in your Android settings.
- You can stop all data collection at any time by uninstalling the game.
- To be taken off the launch email list, email us and we will delete your address.
- To ask us to delete analytics data linked to your install, email us at the address below. Uninstalling first resets the install ID, so please mention roughly when you played.
Children
The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
